We plan to hold the event next year, and would be grateful for any suggestions for speakers, sessions and improvements. We are launching a short monthly email to publicise new books from BAD17 speakers, and any other new books those speakers particularly admire. The email will be sent to everyone who attended BAD17, and there will be an opt-out line should you not wish to receive it again. But we hope you will – the aim is to tell you about new books you’ll probably like.

A number of people have suggested shortening our full name from ‘BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival’ to just ‘BAD Sydney Crime Festival’. They point out that one of the best features of BAD17 was the inclusion of non-writers such as Brian Knox and Gary Jubelin, and the name ought to reflect this breadth. We have taken their advice.
