Richard Beasley is a Senior Counsel at the New South Wales Bar. He holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Adelaide, and a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Sydney. He has been a barrister at the NSW Bar since 1997. He was the Senior Counsel Assisting at the Murray-Darling Royal Commission, established by the South Australian Weatherill Government in 2018 and conducted by Commissioner Bret Walker SC. Apart from that, he is the author of five novels of crime and corruption, including Hell Has Harbour Views, which was adapted for TV and screened by the ABC. His latest book Dead in the Water is about the death of the Murray-Darling Basin.
