Detective Superintendent Deborah Wallace APM joined the NSW Police Force in 1983 and was promoted in 1995 to Detective Sergeant, working as Chief Inspector and Crime Manager in Cabramatta. In 2005 Wallace was promoted to Detective Superintendent and South-East Asian Crime Squad Commander, and since then directed the work of targeting gangs and organized crime as she commanded specialist squads including Middle Eastern Organised Crime and Strike Force Raptor, where she remained until her retirement in 2019. Detective Superintendent Wallace has been awarded the Australian Police Medal, National Police Service Medal, National Media 1st clasp and NSW Police Medal 4th clasp.
