For many years one of Australia’s foremost political commentators, Laurie Oakes is known for his incisive political commentary, probing interviews and scoops in a distinguished career that spanned more than 40 years. He contributed frequently in print and television, won top awards, and published many successful books about politics. In retirement he is pursuing his enthusiasm for crime fiction.
